Seaman Europa explores the fishing market in South Africa and Namibia

Seaman Europa, S.L. took part in the trade mission to South Africa and Namibia organized by the Official Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Services and Navigation of Pontevedra, Vigo and Vilagarcía de Arousa.
The aim was to start building a presence in both markets and introduce Seaman’s fishing electronics to shipowners, industry operators and potential local partners.

The team met with shipowners, fleet operators, distributors and technical service providers, presented Seaman products, and visited facilities and fishing vessels. It was a chance to see firsthand what local fleets need and where Seaman’s solutions would fit.

The mission opened up concrete opportunities to equip vessels from several fleets with Seaman equipment. An onboard evaluation trial on a fishing vessel in Namibia is already in preparation, and a number of companies have shown interest in distribution and partnership agreements.

The team also identified opportunities to work with marine electronics and technical service companies. In Namibia, Seaman presented its products to fishing industry professionals at an event organized with a local company.

These opportunities are at various stages and will need commercial and technical follow-up. The contacts and meetings from the trip lay the groundwork for continuing to develop Seaman Europa’s business in South Africa and Namibia.
